Homemade Dahi Tadka Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup curds/yogurt
1 small onion finely chopped
1 small tomato finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped
1 -2 string curry leaves
1 tsp urad dal
1/4 tsp asefodita/hing
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
1 tsp mustard/ rai
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
salt as per taste
some chopped corainder leaves
Method:
In a bowl add the curds and whisk it properly to make a smooth paste.
Clean and wash the urad dal and then soak it in some water for 5 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil then add the jeera when it splutters add the mustard and asefodita. To it add the urad dal and fry for a second . Then add the curry leaves , onions , green chilli and turmeric powder . Cook on low flame stirring at intervals till the onions are translucent then add the tomatoes and cook till oil is seen on the sides. Then add all the dry spices, salt and stir well. Remove in a plate and allow it to cool.
Add the cooked tadka to the curds and give it a good mix.
Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
