Homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup Recipe

Ingredients:
250 gms white button mushrooms
500 ml milk
2 cups water
2 small finely chopped onions
1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
1/2 tbsp butter
1/2 tbsp oil
1/4 cup oats powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp roughly ground pepper
salt as per taste
Method:
To prepare oats powder in a grinder take half cup oats and grind into a fine powder. Keep aside for future use.
Wash and dry pat the mushrooms then thinly slice them.
Take a pan heat the butter and oil then saute the garlic and add the chopped onions and cook till translucent.
Add all the sliced mushroom , salt and pepper powder, cook till soft. To it sprinkle the oats powder and mix well.
Add the milk along with 2 cups water and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes or till you get a soup consistency.
Remove from flame and when cool blend with a blender or grind into a mixer.
Remove in soup bowls and garnish with some ground pepper.

Note: The soup can be kept chunky or smooth as per preference.
