Homemade Besan Papdi Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups besan or gram flour

  • 1/2 tbsp red chili powder

  • 1/2 tbsp whole pepper coarsely grinded

  • 1 tsp jeera (cumin) seeds

  • salt to taste

  • 1/4 tsp soda bicarbonate

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • oil for frying


Method:

  1. In a bowl mix all the above ingredients well and add enough water to make a very soft dough.

  2. Keep it to rest for 10-20 minutes.

  3. Put some oil on your hands and make equal size balls out of the dough.

  4. Fill the dough balls in the papdi making machine till the top.

  5. Heat oil in a kadai and drop the papdi in it. Fry it on medium flame till it is golden brown in colour.

  6. Repeat the process till all the dough is used .

  7. Store it in an airtight container for upto 2-3 weeks .

    Enjoy it with your tea/ coffee or serve it to your guest, they will love it.
