Homemade Beetroot Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 gms beetroot

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tbsp ghee

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  • chopped almonds and pistachio

Method:

  1. Wash and boil the beetroot then peel and grate.

  2. In a heavy based vessel heat ghee and add the grated beetroot. Cook for about 3- 4 minutes till it is dry.

  3. Add the milk, sugar and cardamom. Keep cooking on low flame stirring at intervals till the milk dries.

  4. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped nuts.
