Homemade Bathua Puri Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups wheat flour

  • 1 cup bathua leaves paste

  • 1 tsp ajwain ( carom seeds )

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the Bathua leaves . In a pan heat some water then add the bathua leaves and allow it to boil for 5-10 minutes. Drain all the water and let it cool. In a grinder grind the leaves into a fine paste.

  2. In a bowl add all the above ingredients along with the bathua paste and bind into a stiff dough.

  3. Cover and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

  4. Knead the dough once again and make small equal size balls.Roll into round shape puris.

  5. In a kadai heat some oil and fry one by one all the puris till golden brown on both sides.

  6. Repeat the process till all the puris are done.

Enjoy this yummy puri with bathua raita and achari aloo ki sabzi.
