Homemade Babycorn Stir Fry Recipe

Ingredients :

  • 250 gms babycorn

  • 1 small onion chopped finely

  • 1-2 spring onions chopped finely

  • 1 green chilli slit in the center

  • 1/2 tbsp chopped ginger

  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1 tbsp coarsely ground pepper

  • 1 tbsp dark soya sauce

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • salt as per taste

  • oil for frying

Method:

  1. Wash the babycorn, pat dry them and cut into big oblique pieces.

  2. In a bowl add all the baby corn, cornstarch .a little salt and 1 tsp pepper . Mix well.

  3. Heat some oil in a kadai when the oil is hot enough drop one by one the babycorn coated with cornstarch. Deep fry on high to medium flame till crispy. Remove on a tissue towel and keep aside for future use.

  4. In a non stick pan heat 1 tbsp oil then saute the garlic and ginger for a few seconds then add the green chilli and onions and cook on low flame till pinkish in colour. Add the fried babycorn, salt, pepper and soya sauce. Cook for a few minutes.

  5. Remove in a serving dish and garnish with some chopped spring onion.
